| About
Me:... |
| I
began my career 16 years ago at the Caron Foundation
(a drug and alcohol rehab program that also did Codependency
and ACOA work) . There I learned the true joy and magical
results that come from helping people to find more of
themselves. |
|
Some
years later I moved to New York City and began my
private practice while I designed and implemented
an Intensive Outpatient drug and alcohol treatment
program.
|
| With
a desire to grow more for myself in my life and work,
I permanently relocated to Washington, DC. Here in Georgetown,
I have a full-time private practice where I see individuals,
couples and groups. I see young people (18 and up) as
well as adults. I specialize in treating addictions,
including alcohol, drugs, sexual compulsivity and eating
disorders. I work with issues of codependency, adult
children of dysfunctional families, depression, anxiety,
and much more. |
| I
am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (licensed in NY,
MD and DC) and I am a Certified Alcoholism and Drug
Abuse Counselor (CASAC). I am a member of the NASW,
NAADAC, the American Group Psychotherapy Association
(AGPA), and the American Academy of Psychotherapists
(AAP). View my Education,
Licensure, and Certification here. |
| Regardless
of what I "specialize" in, my focus is always
on helping people to manifest more for themselves in
their lives: To grow more in themselves, for themselves;
to have fuller, more authentic, creative and spirited
lives and relationships. Simply, I help people discover
more of who they are, and work toward a life that is
more of what they want. |
| Psychotherapy
is an art to be practiced and refined, as is life. I
am an artist in my life and in my work as a psychotherapist.
Let’s open the door to possibility together and
see what we can find inside of you. Feel free to call
me to talk about how we may be able to work together. |
