Susan Berlin Psychotherapy
Addictions Counseling & Counselor Washington DC:
An ADDICTION is defined as: To devote or surrender oneself to something habitually or obsessively.

How do I know if I am suffering from an addiction? If you cannot stop behaving in a way that threatens to harm or ruin your life, or those around you. This is the point that you need help. Addictions can have a dangerous effect on the mind, body, spirit and emotional state. Although treatable, without intervention and help by a trained counselor, the problems of addiction become unmanageable, chronic and may progress toward disability or death. Addiction can take many forms - from substance abuse, gambling, sexual, shopping, work, and food. Even with things that you might think are good for you, like exercise can become an addiction.

I encourage you to contact me if you are seeking help for any type of addictive behavior. My Washington DC office phone number is 202-333-1787 or you can use my contact page by clicking here.
