Workshop Goal

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to deal more effectively with clients exhibiting severe denial and treatment resistance.

Workshop Objective

Upon completing this course the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the Philosophy and Definition of Denial.
  • Review the processes of Denial Pattern Identification, Denial Pattern Management and the Dynamics of Denial.
  • Develop and implement a treatment plan for teaching client’s denial and self-management in individual, group and psychoeducational sessions.
  • Implement the Denial Management Interactional Process effectively.
